Cycling in Channel Islands

The Channel Islands In A Nutshell

The home of Bergerac and a rich man's paradise so long as your paradise doesn't include decent weather.

When I Went To The Channel Islands

12th - 14th April 2012. I didn't tour the Channel Islands. I merely visited Jersey and therefore what little information there is here is solely related to Jersey. Sorry, Guernsey folk.

Channel Islands' Scenery

You can't see a lot of the scenery for all the soddin' oversized hedgerows. When you can see it, it's pleasantly English. Pretty bays dot the coast.

Channel Islands' Road Quality

The surfaces are fine but two things made navigation difficult in the east of the island where I stayed: an almost total lack of road signs and ten-foot-tall hedgerows along the sides of narrow lanes. No idea if this is the same in the rest of the island or the rest of the Islands.

Channel Islands' Accommodation & Costs

My campsite, Beauveland, cost £7 per night.

Reasons To Go To The Channel Islands

A homage to Bergerac, to break up the ferry ride to France
