Cycling in Cyprus

Cyprus In A Nutshell

As you can see from the tiny amount of red on the map below, I don't feel qualified to advise about touring on Cyprus. My four days there were mostly in bed with a bad back.

When I Went To Cyprus

12th - 16th July 2012. Don't come cycling to Cyprus at this time of year. It was 40C.

Where I Went

Cyprus's Scenery

Cyprus was a dusty, yellow place although maybe it gets greener in spring. I only stayed on the Turkish side. Apparently the Greek side is more attractive although more expensive.

Cyprus's Road Quality

Roads were fine. Certainly better than Turkey. I've no idea if they are even better on the Greek side. Remember to ride on the left.

Language

On the coast a lot of English was spoken.

Reasons To Go To Cyprus

To visit a city that boasts it's the world's only divided capital, as though that's something to be proud of.
